I was looking an HN thread regarding best books in 2021 and it pushed me to start writing about books I read.
So, my favorite book I read this year was Humankind - A hopeful history by Rutger Bregman. What I actually like in this book, is that it shows an optimistic view of the world and specifically on people through history.
He mentions with facts why we trust, why this was and still is our most valuable asset to survive compared to other species
and why the biggest advantage of humanity is friendliness even today.
He analyzes many stories about how we are good by nature and why many stories are fake when they try to show humans like monsters.
It is a very optimistic book, Rutger Bregman has given many interviews and I really enjoy listening him. You can check one of my favorites
interviews here.
